Canadian Journalists for Free Expression (CJFE) is calling for donations in support of its fifth annual Review of Free Expression in Canada.
Every year on World Press Freedom Day (May 3), CJFE publishes a critical publication that provides balanced, comprehensive analysis of the most important events, legislation and court decisions affecting Canadians’ freedom of expression. The Review is the only publication of its kind in the country, and it takes 43 staff and volunteers more than 2,600 hours to produce a leading resource on free expression issues in Canada.
In February 2013, CJFE launched a crowdfunding campaign to support the production of the 2013-2014 Review of Free Expression in Canada. All funds raised will help the organization.
How can you help?
CJFE invites you to make your donation at http://bit.ly/1c1QPWA. Your contribution takes them one step closer to reaching their $5,000 goal.
As a donor, you will also receive one of 9 perks CJFE has lined up to show their thanks for your generosity. Among the perks is the opportunity to tour the Toronto Star newsroom or have lunch with journalist and author Robyn Doolittle.
Please donate today and share the campaign with your contacts to strengthen the impact of your contribution.
