Media Matters Inc. is currently seeking an editorial intern to work out of our office in downtown Toronto. We are a magazine and web publisher with a strong focus on the automotive world and custom publishing.
We are dedicated to ensuring that our interns get more out of the experience than a few lines on a resume. By the end of an internship with us, you will have:
1. A considerable list of published credits, on everything from small news items to feature articles.
2. Mentoring from publishing professionals who are committed to making sure that your skills improve.
3. Practical knowledge of all aspects of magazine and web production.
4. Experience reporting on numerous business issues, and experience in discussing these issues with key decision makers in a number of industries.
Our interns write and edit, take photographs, cover events, make valuable contacts and learn the practical side of print and web journalism. They don't fetch coffee.
This position is ideally suited to a student or a recent grad. We can offer the right candidate flexible hours to suit their schedule.
To apply, please email your resume and a short cover note Mike Davey at editor@collisionrepairmag.com. Please note that this is an unpaid internship.
