The Professional Writers Association of Canada is accepting submissions for two award categories open to all Canadian writers: Features and Short Articles.
The Features Awards is for submissions that are 1,201 words and over that the writer received payment for and was published in a Canadian publication during the 2011 calendar year.

The Features Awards is for submissions that are 1,201 words and over that the writer received payment for and was published in a Canadian publication during the 2011 calendar year.
Submissions up to 1,200 words are eligible for the Short Articles Awards, and similarly to the Features, it must have been published in the 2011 calendar year in a Canadian publication.
PWAC is also accepting submissions for a number of other categories, though only PWAC members are eligible to apply.
The awards will be handed out during the national conference being held from June 5-8 in Toronto.
Applications will be accepted until April 5.
