Lloyd Robertson and Andy Walsh are set to be the newest inductees to the Canadian News Hall of Fame at a gala in Toronto on May 16.
Robertson, who retired last fall, is the longest-serving national news anchor in television history, having spent 57 years at CBC and CTV, while Walsh is currently the morning news anchor at Vancouver’s News1130 and has been broadcasting since 1951.
The News Hall of Fame was founded in 1965 by the Toronto Press Club. Those who have previously been inducted include Peter Newman, William Lyon Mackenzie, and cartoonist Terry Mosher.
