Moses Znaimer’s latest project, Zoomer magazine, will hit newsstands on September 22nd, according to a news release. The magazine is a re-launched version of CARP magazine, the publication of Canadian Association of Retired Persons.
In order to create a buzz, the magazine has released an impressive list of well-known Canadians that are involved in the first issue. Award-winning journalist Marni Jackson, The Globe and Mail’s UK correspondent Elizabeth Renzetti, author and host of radio show The Zoomer Report, Libby Znaimer, award-winner and member of the Order of Canada Sally Armstrong, Toronto freelance writer John Lorinc and Toronto Star business columnist Ellen Roseman are among the listed contributors.
As well, Bryan Adams was named as the photographer for the mag’s first cover, although Zoomer is keeping the identity of the cover subject a secret until the launch.
Former Flare editor Suzanne Boyd is editor-in-chief of the the soon-to-be launched magazine.
