Nicholas Schmidle, who wrote a story about the rise of pro-Taliban militants in Pakistan, has been expelled from that country, the New York Times reports via Associated Press. Schmidle, an American journalist, was also a visiting scholar in Islamabad. The story was published in the New York Times Magazine.
