The World Health Organization (WHO), is an agency of the United Nations that works toobtain forall peoples “the highest possible level of health.”
Their website has information about the organization, their programs, offices, history, strategies etc., but also offers information about a wide range of health related topics, such as specific diseases. Click on HIV infections and you’ll find related sites, publications, features and links to related organizations. There is also a section which provides information by country; basic facts such as life expectancy, status reports on specific diseases, and heatlh system by country. The site also has a media centre that provides news releases and daily features.
