The first delivery of a morning newspaper by air in Canada was made on May 27, 1919. Roland Groome delivered the Regina Morning Leader to Moose Jaw, Sask. Just a week earlier, Groome completed the first flight between Regina and Saskatoon. He served in the First World War as a flying instructor based in Ontario and would go on to be Canada's first licensed commercial pilot.
