The wealth factor

In Counterpunch, Norman Solomon asks whether New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman’s enormous personal wealth influences his support of corporate globalization. In “He’s Even Richer Than I Thought!” Solomon points out Friedman has admitted publicly that he supports free trade unequivocally — without knowing what is contained in an agreement. This strikes the author as odd for the influential economics columnist.
