After more than 40 years with CTV, W-Five executive producer Malcolm Fox is retiring, the network has announced. He is leaving the show as of Sept. 1.
W-Five senior producer Anton Koschany will replace Fox.
Fox began working for CTV as a film editor and sound person for CTV National News in London and then as a cameraman and producer in Halifax and Washington. He joined W-Five as a producer in 1983 and was the show’s senior field producer from 1996-1998. He spent two years in Beijing before returning W-Five in 2000 as executive producer.
Koschany was a producer with CBC’s The Fifth Estate for 12 years. He moved to CTV as a W-Five field producer in 1993, and was CTV National News’ Toronto bureau chief before returning to W-Five as senior producer in 1998.
W-Five is heading into its 44th season.
