The University of British Columbia's School of Journalism has been nominated for three Canadian Online Publishing Awards.

The awards, which recognize excellence in online editorial and innovation in magazines, newspapers, broadcasts and websites, are chosen by Masthead Online.

Daniel Hallen's video, examined the backyard chicken debate in Vancouver and is nominated for best video.

The Canadian Music Wiki, a collaboration between CBC Radio 3 and UBC j-schooler Amanda Ash is up for the "best community feature" award.

Reportr.net, a media and technology blog run by UBC professor Alfred Hermida, is nominated for "best blog" in the business/scholarly category.
