Toronto Star public editor Kathy English has put the call out to readers, asking for their opinions in the paper’s annual “You be the editor” survey.

“Every week, hundreds of Toronto Star readers weigh in on matters of accuracy, fairness, context and taste in stories, headlines and photos,” English writes. “Now it's your chance to play the annual game of second-guessing the Star’s editors.”

English lists off 16 real-life scenarios related to photos, headlines, and sensitive ethical issues. For example, one question asks:

In the last moments before a York Regional police constable dies on duty he calls his dispatcher for help over the police radio while pinned beneath a minivan. Do you publish the transcript of this last call for help? Yes/No.
