Meanwhile, Cottage Life, Corporate Knights, Uppercase and Urbania are up for the coveted Magazine of the Year Award.
And nine magazines are up for the first time as finalists: Chez Soi, Globe Style Advisor, Hazlitt, Infopresse, Le Must, New Trail, Nouveau Projet, Ottawa Citizen Style and Write Magazine.

The National Magazine Awards Foundation also introduced three new categories for digital content: tablet magazine of the year, online video and blogs.
The winners will be announced at the National Magazine Awards gala on June 7 in Toronto.
