CNW’s Beyond the Wire blog offers four tips on making your online video stand out:
Know your audience
CNW writes: “Who do you want to reach and how?” Figure out your target audience, and know how to speak to them.
Keep it simple
Make your message clear. “Your video should be able to stand on its own, without supporting context.”
Decide how to speak to your audience
CNW offers some suggestions for different approaches to tone:
-News-style human interest videos
-How-to videos
-Corporate video
Keep it brief
“Limit your video to between 30 seconds and three minutes long.” After that, your audience starts to lose interest. Too much information? Consider making a series of short videos and presenting as a set.
