Editor and Publisher features The Collegiate Times, the student newspaper gaining accolades for its coverage of Monday’s tragic Virginia Tech shootings. It was the first publication to post the names of many of the victims, using their close contact to scoop many of the major dailies. They have garnered accolades for jumping on the story early with what appears to be the first online report of shots fired at a campus dormitory and regular blog updates from students and staff from there on in.
