The Toronto Star has lost two of its sports columnists to rival media.
Hockey columnist Damien Cox is leaving the Toronto Star for Sportsnet, while Cathal Kelly, who covered soccer and basketball, is headed to The Globe and Mail to become a national sports columnist. Kelly had worked for the Star for 14 years.

A big welcome to @CathalKelly, who joins the Globe and Mail as general sports columnist. Starts later this month.

Moving on from @cathalkelly, we bring news that @DamoSpin is also leaving us for @Sportsnet. Bad day for our sports dept. Gonna miss both.
