Shaw Media announced today that it has filed an application with the CRTC to launch a regional, Global BC-driven, all-news specialty channel in British Columbia by this summer.

The channel, which has yet to be named, will consist of all-day news programming with a regional focus, providing live event coverage and original local reporting. It will also feature a primetime talk show hosted by Global BC anchor Jill Krop.
