Organization of News Ombudsmen launches new website

The international Organization of News Ombudsmen (ONO) has launched a new website “to serve as a hub for their international organization and a guidepost for news consumers to make sense of both old and new media.”

The ONO is a non-profit corporation that was formed in 1980 and now has an international membership of news ombudsmen.

The new website aims to provide:

  • Columns, articles and blog posts written by or about ombudsmen
  • Blogs and articles focusing on media criticism.
  • A space where news consumers can discuss media and connect with ombudsmen from around the world.
  • Information on members and membership
  • Links to the web sites of ombudsmen and ONO members around the world.
  • Links to other journalism watchdog sites.
  • An events calendar where members can connect
