The Canadian Committee for World Press Freedom has opened nominations for its annual Press Freedom Award, available to a Canadian journalist that has made a “significant contribution to freedom of expression.” The prize includes a cash reward of $2,000. The organization will also award three prizes in its annual International Editorial Cartoon contest (this year’s theme is “WikiLeaks and its creators: villains or heroes?”
