Rob Ford’s week in the media

<p>After <a href="http://www.thestar.com/news/city_hall/2012/05/07/mayor_rob_ford_marks_world_press_freedom_week.html">confronting <em>Toronto Star</em> reporter Daniel Dale</a> in the park behind his Etobicoke home last Wednesday, Toronto Mayor Rob Ford has made a few headlines, to say the least. <a href="http://www.thestar.com/news/city_hall/2012/05/03/daniel_dales_story_responding_to_mayor_rob_ford.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dale and Ford agree on a few things</a>: namely, that the reporter called for help, was terrified and fled.

Canadian Association of Journalists annual conference preview

<p>This weekend, the <a href="http://www.caj.ca/?page_id=1910" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Canadian Association of Journalists annual conference</a> will be taking place at the Royal York Hotel in Toronto. A number of events will take place in partnership with Newspapers Canada's <a href="http://www.newspaperscanada.ca/ink-and-beyond" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ink&Beyond Conference</a>, and <a href="http://www.caj.ca/?page_id=1910" target="_blank" rel="noopener">you can register up until the day the conference begins</a>, April 27 (those attending the Ink&Beyond receive a discount).
