Toronto Star appoints new Travel and Homes editors

Michelle Lissel joins Global Winnipeg as weather anchor

<p><img align="left" alt="" class="imagecache-thumbnail inline-image" hspace="10" src="http://j-source.ca/sites/www.j-source.ca/files/imagecache/thumbnail/images/Lissel_0.jpg" title="" />Michelle Lissel will join Global Winnipeg as its new weather anchor, Shaw Media told J-Source on Thursday.</p><p>Lissel will fill the spot vacated by Kate Gajdosik, who moved west earlier this summer to work for Global BC. Lissel’s first day on air will be Aug. 19.</p>

Mark Trueman named new executive producer of Global Toronto

He replaces former executive producer Jason Keel, who left the position in April.</p>

Globe’s communities editor Jennifer MacMillan joins Huffington Post Canada

<p><img align="left" alt="" class="imagecache-thumbnail inline-image" hspace="10" src="http://j-source.ca/sites/www.j-source.ca/files/imagecache/thumbnail/images/JenMac.PNG" title="" />The<em> Globe and Mail</em>’s senior communities editor Jennifer MacMillan is leaving the newspaper to join Huffington Post Canada as its new managing editor of news.</p><p>She had worked for the <em>Globe</em> for five years. MacMillan will fill the role vacated by Brodie Fenlon when he joined the CBC News as its managing editor for digital.</p>

Asha Tomlinson named new host of CBC News Windsor

A first! Married Canadian couple to anchor TV newscast together this fall

<p><em>CBC Calgary</em> will be home to the first Canadian television newscast anchored by a married couple. <em>CTV B.C. </em>anchor and senior reporter Rob Brown and <em>CBC News Vancouver </em>anchor Rosa Marchitelli will move to Calgary — Marchitelli’s hometown — to anchor the six o’clock news this fall, <a href="http://news.nationalpost.com/2013/07/30/husband-and-wife-duo-set-to-become-canadas-first-tv-news-co-anchors/">the <em>National Post’s</em> Sarah Boesveld reported</a>.</p>

Remembering Linda Lewis
