Toronto Star wins Michener Award for Ford coverage

Rita Celli wins Michener-Deacon fellowship for investigative reporting

<p><img align="left" alt="" class="imagecache-thumbnail inline-image" hspace="10" src="http://j-source.ca/sites/www.j-source.ca/files/imagecache/thumbnail/images/Rita Celli_0.JPG" style="font-size: 10px;" title="" />Veteran CBC journalist Rita Celli has won the <a href="http://www.michenerawards.ca/english/picfellows/picfellow2014.htm" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Michener-Deacon fellowship for investigative reporting</a>.</p><p>Celli, who hosts the radio show <em>Ontario Today</em> from Ottawa, will use the fellowship to spend up to four months investigating Ontario’s mining industry.</p>

Globe launches new mobile and interactive unit

Updated: Canadian Family cancels print edition; lays off 7 staff

It also laid off seven staff including editor-in-chief Brandie Weikle.  </p><p>Its parent company, St. Joseph Communications, announced the parenting magazine will cease distributing hard copies after its summer issue.</p>
