Metro English Canada, the country’s No. 1 free daily newspaper, is looking for editorial interns to join our bureaus in Toronto, Ottawa, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Halifax.
The successful candidates, at least, must be in their third year of a bachelor’s degree print journalism program, or first year of a master’s degree program. Responsibilities will include fact checking, proofreading, making phone calls, and researching and writing stories for various sections of the newspapers.
The successful candidate is also deadline-driven, full of story ideas, and an independent worker.
Applicants are required to submit three writing samples along with a resume and a cover letter. Please indicate in which city you would like to work.

Please note the positions last six weeks, are unpaid and part-time, but you will be rewarded richly in experience!
