Matt O’Grady is returning to BCBusiness as its editor, the magazine’s publisher, Peter Legge, tweeted, three years after he resigned from the magazine.
O’Grady’s resignation came after Legge killed an investigative cover story as the magazine was going to press, said D. B. Scott, who runs canadianmags.blogspot.ca.
O’Grady then worked for Canadian Business as its executive editor and then as The Globe and Mail’s B.C. bureau chief.
“The decision to lure him back may have had something to do with a reorganization related to the departure of Gary Davies as publisher (who returned to Calgary) and the need for an experienced hand on the tiller at BCB, backstopping Tom Gierasimcsuk, who had been named vice-president, editorial of Canada Wide, and was stickhandling the launch of BCLiving magazine,” Scott wrote.
Welcome back @mattogee as Editor of @bcbusiness. A great talent and a fine, fine writer!
