The New York Times, Washington Post, Newsweek and the Daily Beast are all participating in a new news service set up by Google.
The news sites will supply screen shots of web content for a limited time for Google to post using a unique user interface. The audience will be able to quickly move through large numbers of stories, but these will be slightly longer than the usual snippets delivered by many online media. The idea is to get the audience to read more.
The news services and Google will share revenues.
