Canadian industry association Magazines Canada has released the 2009 edition of its Consumer Magazine Factbook.
According to a news release, the book “contains 72 pages of new and updated industry information and research.” It includes information for media planners, advertisers and magazine sales professionals.
In a blog post titled “Magazine fact book brings good news in the face of hard times,” magazine consultant D.B. Scott notes:
“While the purpose of the publication is unabashedly to spin a good story, it is hard not to come away from it without feeling that we’re in a robust and resilient business.”
A French version of the book will be released soon and a Business Media Factbook is set to be created as well (“in the coming months”).
