Introduction

“When we study the history of journalism we are principally studying a way in which men in the past have grasped reality. We are searching out the intersection of journalistic style and vocabulary, created systems of meaning, and standards of reality shared by writer and audience.”
— James Carey, Journalism History, Volume 1, Number 1

Feedback from Journalism and Mass Communication Scholars

We want to know what is going on in Canadian journalism and mass communication research. If you are working on a new project, revising an older one, have just received a grant no matter how big or how small, making a presentation at a learned conference anywhere in the world, we would like you to tell the rest of us in the evolving and exiting world of journalism scholarship in Canada. This is your portal so don’t hesitate to use it. Just send me a note at dspencer@uwo.ca and share your experiences. We will put it on line and hopefully will invoke contacts and debate.
