General Statement
The International Journal of Comic Art is published twice yearly. International and multi disciplinary in scope, IJOCA aims to publish scholarly and readable research on any aspect of comic art, defined as animation, comic books, newspaper and magazine strips, caricature, gag and political cartoons, humorouos art, and humor or cartoon magazines. A typical issue includes about 350-400 pages, averaging 18 articles and more than 100 illustrations. About 50 countries of every continent, have been subjects of articles. Additionally, International Journal of Comic Art features editorials, book and exhibition reviews, bibliographic essays, resource columns, a portfolio of cartoons worldwide and interviews.
Online Availability
At this moment, full-page copies of articles are not available through the Internet. Yet the journal does publish an extensive index of articles in its Past Issues pathway, which can lead researchers and other interested parties to the hard copies of the journal posted in numerous libraries.
