Canadian North Airlines have ended its distribution deal with Up Here, a magazine based in
Yellowknife that covers the North. The deal represents between 5-7,000
magazines a month, about 16% of circulated copies.
D.B. Scott, on his Canadian Magazines blog, reports:
“Sources say Canadian North was said to be annoyed about some reporting in the companion business magazine, Up Here Business; but when interviewed by the CBC, they said the change was being made because they felt they could best represent their own brand needs with their own magazine.”
First Air, another airline that serves the North, has its own publication called Above & Beyond.
