Hamas surrounds kidnappers’ area

Hamas security forces are on rooftops surrounding the area in Gaza City where kidnapped BBC journalist Alan Johnston is reportedly being held, the Guardian says. It was unclear whether the operation was meant to increase pressure on the kidnappers or was the beginning of a rescue mission.
