As Canwest’s financial troubles are in the spotlight, Financial Post Magazine editor Brian Banks has taken a voluntary buyout package, Masthead Online reports.

Banks, who started at FP in 2002, told Masthead “it just seemed like the timing was right.”

The mag’s executive editor, Cooper Langford, is handling operations at the magazine in the interim.
