CTV London has announced that senior anchor Dan MacLellan has resigned in order to focus on upcoming legal challenges.
MacLellan faces assault charges from an alleged incident on Dec. 24 for which he was arrested. He has been on a leave of absence from CTV since Dec. 28 after appearing in court, as per company policy.
MacLellan, who is an Atlantic Journalism Award-winner, has been anchoring in London since 2002. Prior to that, he anchored in Edmonton and was a business reporter, videographer and weekend anchor for Global Television.
