Veteran CTV Winnipeg anchor Sylvia Kuzyk's last day is official. After nearly 38 years, Kuzyk's final newscast with the station wil be Sept. 2 on CTV News at Six. The anchor and weather specialist initially announced her decision to step down in June.

The Sept. 2 show will feature special tributes to Kuzyk's career and her contribution to the community. Plenty of CTV Winnipeg viewers have already left comments on Twitter, and the "best wishes" page created by CTV. Writes one viewer: "She gave me a science fair medal in 1981ish. Still starstruck!" And another "Without Sylvia Kuzyk trail blazing the way I wouldn't be doing the job I love today! She is the best lady in the biz!"
