Kayla Hounsell, a reporter and weekend anchor with CTV Atlantic in Halifax, was named the 2013 RTDNA Canada President’s Fellow.
Kayla Hounsell, a reporter and weekend anchor with CTV Atlantic in Halifax, was named the 2013 RTDNA Canada President’s Fellow.
The $3,000 fellowship allows a working journalist to attend a seminar at the Poynter Institute in St. Petersburg, Florida. According to her bio, Hounsell joined CTV in 2009. She left Newfoundland to study journalism at Carleton University and worked as a reporter-anchor in Ottawa, Manitoba and Saskatchewan, before returning to the Maritimes.
The award will be presented at the RTDNA President's Gala on June 14 in Toronto.
