Craig Silverman, the Canadian mastermind behind Regret The Error, has compiled his annual roundup of “oops”es. Headings include “Apology of the Year” (Sunday Times UK, for clumsily retracting statements about Lord Lambton’s alleged orgy-organizing offspring), “Most Delayed Correction” (New York Times, for an error published in 1944), and “Best Abuse of Maps” (Los Angeles Times, for tragically reversing the colour scale of hazard levels on a fire map).
Chip Scanlan at Poynter also interviewed Silverman about the book and his work.
