After spending weeks bracing themselves for a strike, journalism
students at Ontario colleges can breathe a little bit easier after a February
10 vote came out in the favour of no strike, but just barely, at 51.25 per cent,
according to a report from the Toronto Star. The result still needs to be
reviewed by the Ontario Labour Relations Board before it’s official, however,
so Ontario’s college students still have a bit of finger crossing to do.
