Chief Justice speaks on journalism

Courts and journalism are inextricably linked to democracy — a free press and democracy cannot be separated, says The Right Honourable Beverley McLachlin, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada. The chief justice spoke at the inaugural event in the annual lecture series, Democracy and Journalism, on October 31 at the Munk Centre for International Studies at the University of Toronto.
