CBC-TV has cut 41 employees, including staffers in human resources, communications, sales and marketing in various cities across Canada. Ten staffers attached to the production of cancelled shows Country Canada and Opening Night were also part of the downsizing. The reasons given for the cuts were declining advertizing revenues and reduced funding from the federal government.
