Jim Curran’s CBC traffic reporting career celebrated

Steve Jeffrey resigns from The Anchor Weekly amid serial plagiarism allegations

<p> </p><p>Steve Jeffrey, editor and publisher of <em>The Anchor Weekly</em>, a community newspaper that has served Chestermere, Alta. since 2001, has resigned amid allegations that he had plagiarized at least 42 columns in the past year, <a href="http://www.calgaryherald.com/news/alberta/Calgary+area+newspaper+editor+resigns+following+plagiarism+allegations/6366948/story.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according to the Calgary Herald</a>.</p>

Full list of CAJ Awards finalists announced

<p> </p><p>Yesterday, we reported that the CAJ had released its <a href="http://j-source.ca/article/first-group-2011-caj-award-finalists-announced">preliminary list of CAJ Awards finalists</a>. Well, they didn’t make us wait long for <a href="http://www.caj.ca/?p=2362">the rest of them</a>.</p><p>Finalists for five more categories, including open television (less than five minutes), open television (greater than five minutes), open newspaper, community newspaper and daily excellence, were announced today.</p>
