As <a href="http://www.niemanlab.org/2012/04/googles-richard-gingras-8-themes-that-will-help-define-the-future-of-journalism/">the Nieman Lab of Journalism reports</a>, kicking off the conference was Google’s head of news products, Richard Gingras, who spoke about eight things that should be thought about as we move into the future of journalism.</p>
