<p> </p><p>The Jack Webster Foundation honoured journalism in British Columbia last week, presenting its annual awards to news organizations.</p><p>The big winner on the night was the <em>Vancouver Sun</em>, taking home five awards, including Patricia Graham’s Bruce Hutchinson Lifetime Achievement Award. The CBC, which had been nominated for a total of 12 awards across all platforms, took home three. The <em>Vancouver Province </em>won in two categories.</p>

The successful candidate will teach digital production skills and reporting skills to both undergraduate and graduate students. According to the <a href="http://www.ukings.ca/assistant-professor-journalism-multimedia" target="_blank" rel="noopener">job posting</a>, applicants must have a graduate degree and will ideally have extensive experience as a reporter and a mentor in the field or in the classroom.</p>

READ MORE<p><a href="http://www.cjfe.org" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Canadian Journalists for Free Expression</a> (CJFE) will present its 2012 Tara Singh Hayer Memorial Award to <a href="http://www.radio-canada.ca/emissions/enquete/2012-2013/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><em>Enquête</em></a>, Radio-Canada’s investigative television program, for taking great risks to expose major cases of corruption in Québec. The award will be presented at the 15th Annual CJFE Gala, to be held December 5, 2012, at the Fairmont Royal York hotel in Toronto.</p>
