TC Media redesigns 160 local news websites

<p><img alt="" class="imagecache-large inline-image" src="http://j-source.ca/sites/www.j-source.ca/files/imagecache/large/images/Truro Daily News.JPG" title="" /></p><p>TC Media has launched newly redesigned websites for all of its 160 local newspapers across Canada.</p><p>The new design puts a greater emphasis on content, photo and video galleries. It also features a simpler navigation menu as well as a new events calendar.</p>

Postmedia reports loss of nearly $36 million in fourth quarter

<p>Postmedia Network <a href="http://www.postmedia.com/2013/10/24/postmedia-network-reports-fourth-quarter-results-2/">reported</a> a loss of nearly $36 million in the last quarter and the media company said it doesn't expect any improvements next year.</p>

Misidentification of protestors constitutes code breach: Canadian Broadcast Standards Council

<p>The Canadian Broadcast Standards Council (CBSC) released its <a href="http://www.cbsc.ca/english/decisions/2013/131023.php" target="_blank" rel="noopener">decision</a> concerning an episode of <em>The Source</em> broadcast on Sun News Network on January 23, 2013. The host of the public affairs discussion program misidentified protestors in a video clip. The CBSC found the station in violation of the CAB Code of Ethics for the error.
