The Halifax Chronicle-Herald is looking to cut $1.5 million dollars from its budget and staff are bracing for layoffs, CBC News reports.
According to CBC, staff in the paper’s news division have been told the company wants to find the savings “immediately” and the union was informed that there will be buyouts and possible layoffs.
