14 Canadian newsrooms win RTDNA International Regional Murrow Awards

<p> </p><h1> </h1><p>35 Canadian entries from over 14 newsrooms across Canada have won the regional Edward R. Murrow Awards from RTDNA International.</p><p>The winners will receive their awards on June 15 during the Radio-Television Digital News Association Canada’s national conference in Toronto, and will also go on to compete for national honours.</p>

La Presse takes big gamble with launch of free tablet edition

La Presse+ : un concurrent à Radio-Canada?

<p> </p><p>La Presse+ sera officiellement lancée jeudi. Selon ce que Projet-J a appris, la nouvelle application pour tablette sera pratiquement «un nouveau multimédia, très performant, très fluide, très intuitif».</p><p>L’application veut offrir une « expérience complète », souffle-t-on à l’interne : en plus du texte et des images, le sujet sera accompagné d’hyperliens vers des chroniques, de reportages vidéos et d’entrevues. Le tout sera pensé pour le web, oui, mais tourné et présenté pour le petit écran.</p>

Canadian journalist Kennedy Jawoko named International Knight Journalism Fellow
