Reports say the Somalian kidnappers of several journalists, including Canadian Amanda Lindhout, want a ransom of about $2.5-million for Lindhout’s release. A CanWest story said the freelance Alberta journalist Australian photojournalist Nigel Brennan “and their Somali fixer” (whose name is???) were abducted August 23 on a road between Mogadishu and Afgoye.
