The Star Media Group has purchased The Canadian Immigrant Magazine, a monthly magazine published out of Vancouver. Star Media Group is a division of Toronto Star Newspapers Ltd., which is itself a part of Torstar Corp. The magazine, launched by Naeem Noorani in 2004, was designed to provide information to immigrants about money, lifestyle, culture, jobs and business.
