Montreal-based journalist and dance filmmaker Philip Szporer has won the
2010 Jacqueline Lemieux Prize, awarded by the Canada Council for the
Arts. The prize, named for the legendary Canadian teacher, dancer and co-founder of Montreal dance company Entre-Six, is worth $6,000
Szporer was also deemed the most deserving applicant in the Canada Grants to Dance Professionals program, which awarded him $14,500 to write and research Moments in Motion: Part Deux.
