If freedom of expression were an Olympic event, Canada’s medal hopes would not be
looking so good, according to this J-Source post. The post is a response
to the detaining of Martin Macias Jr.,
a Chicago indy media reporter and activist whose journalistic status is debated
in Town Hall.

For the record, Macias describes himself as an “Independent Journalist/Video/Radiomaker/Activist/Media Reformer/Green
