Quebec is set to get its own French-language Huffington Post, following the success of the Canadian edition's debut earlier this year.

Dubbed Le Huffington Post Quebec, the site's editorial headquarters will be based in Montreal; it will start publishing next year. More than 200,000 unique visitors from Quebec visit the Canadian edition of HuffPo each month — a hefty number that has, in large part, inspired EIC Arianna Huffington to go forward with the expansion. It will be the second French-language Huffington Post site, after France's debut later this year.

Huffington made the announcement at the International Women in Media Summit in Stratford, Ont., saying: "I just love the idea of being able to bring all of the special elements of the Huffington Post to people around the world."

And if Canada is any indication, people all over the world love Huffington, too. Since its May launch, the Canadian site has received more than 1.8 million unique viewers each month. In all, the company has 20,000 bloggers. Notable Canadian contributors, according to HuffPo, include: David Suzuki, Conrad Black, Kevin O'Leary, Elizabeth May, and Maude Barlow.
