North Island Publishing Ltd. announced it will continue publishing Masthead Online in 2009.
Masthead said it was “inundated with comments, e-mails and phone calls from readers” and that many suggested the company continue to publish on the web.
When editor Marco Ursi found out he gets to keep his full-time job as editor, he said:
“I’m like totally thrilled. I have some wicked new ideas for the site and look forward to serving the industry with more news, features, service and opinions. I also get to keep sticking my nose into other magazine people’s business without having to make an excuse for it.”
The final issue of the magazine (currrently in production) will be a special collectors’ edition.
The Masthead weekly e-bulletin and the site’s job’s listings will also live on.
